September Favorites

Tori Kelly released a beautiful new gospel album entitled “Hiding Place”

My favorite track is probably “Never Alone”, but I’m also fond of “Masterpiece” and “Psalm 42”. If you’re a fan of this songbird, I suggest you listen on iTunes, Spotify, and everywhere music is streamed. I’ll be seeing Tori live in concert next month and I’m hype!

Andy Mineo recently dropped an EP titled “II: The Sword”

Andy is an artist I have admired since his debut LP dropped back in 2013. On this new project, he is creative, relatable, and transparent. Giving us bops, but also substance (just like always). My favorite tracks are “None of my Business” and “Friends”, however “Shame” has some of the most honest lyrics I’ve ever heard a man rap. You can check him out on Spotify as well.

I already sang the praises of Aneesh Chaganty‘s debut feature film, but it’s worth talking about again here because I was that impressed by Searching. You can read my full review here, but just know that it’s unlike anything we’ve seen on the big screen before. I found myself thinking about this picture long after I saw it in the theater. Chaganty is off to a great start and word on the streets is that he’s already working on something new!
